Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Mattefix here.
How does a lesson work?
+
Lessons take place online via Google Meet. You and your tutor work through the problems and topics you need help with. After the lesson, feedback is available in a lesson report in the portal.
How much does a lesson cost?
+
A 60-minute lesson costs SEK 375 and a 90-minute lesson costs SEK 563. Both prices include VAT. We agree on arrangements and times before the lesson is booked.
How are lessons booked?
+
We agree on the tutor, times and arrangements. Once the booking is in the portal, you can follow its status there. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a lesson.
Which levels do you help with?
+
Tell us your school year or course and which topics you want to practise. You can send an enquiry for compulsory school, upper secondary school or studies after secondary school, and we will discuss the support available.
Will I have the same tutor each time?
+
We plan tutors and times together. Continuity is part of an ongoing arrangement, but who can help depends on the subject and availability.
Can parents follow progress?
+
Yes. A guardian linked to the student can see the student's bookings and lesson reports in the portal. These provide feedback on the work and next steps.
What equipment do I need?
+
You need a computer or tablet with internet access, a microphone and sound for Google Meet. A camera and your homework are useful to have ready. We go through the practical details before your first lesson.
Can you help before exams?
+
Send your course, exam date and the topics you need to practise. We will discuss the support and times available.
How quickly can I get started?
+
Send an enquiry and we will get back to you about an initial conversation and available times. When you can start depends on your needs and the tutors' availability.
How do I access the portal?
+
Once your account is set up, sign in using Sign in at the top of the website. The portal brings together bookings and lesson reports for the student and linked guardians.
