How we handle personal data

Here we explain which data is processed when you contact Mattefix and what rights you have. Last updated 6 October 2026.

Who is responsible?

Mattefix is responsible for the processing of personal data on the website. Questions about personal data should be sent to kontakt@mattefix.se.

What do we collect?

In the contact form, we process your contact role, the student's first and last names, education level, optional school year, maths topics and your own description of the needs. We also collect the primary contact person's email address. When a guardian contacts us, they provide their own first and last names, an optional telephone number and, where applicable, the student's own email address. Do not enter sensitive personal data in the free-text field.

Why do we use the data?

The data is used to answer your enquiry, book an introductory meeting and develop a possible tutoring arrangement. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract is entered into. The data is not used for marketing mailings without a separate basis for doing so.

Optional question about how you found us

Guardians can choose to tell us how they found Mattefix. If you answer, you consent to our using the answer to follow up which channels lead to enquiries. The answer is included in the same contact email to Mattefix. It is optional and does not affect how we handle your enquiry. The question is not shown when a student contacts us themselves.

You can withdraw your consent at any time and ask us to remove the source information by emailing kontakt@mattefix.se. We may keep aggregate counts that cannot be linked to you. The source information is not used for personalised advertising or marketing mailings.

How long is the data kept?

An enquiry is kept for as long as needed to answer and follow up the contact. If the contact leads to a customer relationship, some data may need to be kept longer to fulfil a contract or legal obligations. Data that is no longer needed must be deleted.

Which services receive the data?

Railway provides web hosting and handles the contact form for Mattefix. Contact enquiries are sent to Mattefix by email through our email provider One.com. These providers therefore process the data on our behalf. The website also retrieves fonts from Google Fonts, which means that technical information such as an IP address may be transferred when the page loads.

Optional analytics and cookies

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the website. The legal basis for this processing is your consent. You can use the whole website and send an enquiry even if you choose “No thanks”.

Analytics covers pages visited, the source of the visit when known, and whether an enquiry is started or sent. Analytics cookies use random identifiers to distinguish visits. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers and the student's needs text from the contact form are not sent to Google Analytics. We do not use the data for personalised advertising.

Your yes or no is saved in the browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies may remain for up to 180 days. You can choose “Turn off analytics” at the bottom of the page at any time. This stops new analytics events and removes the website's analytics cookies from this browser. You can also change your preference on every page.

Google receives data about the visit and the technical information needed to connect to its service. Read more about Google's processing and international data transfers in its privacy policy .

Your rights

You can request information about your data and, where the rules allow, rectification, erasure or restriction. You can also object to certain processing. Contact us at the address above. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) .
